Stupp Bros., Inc.
Stupp Bros., Inc. was formed in 1990 to provide strategic direction to companies owned by the Stupp family, primarily by setting criteria for ongoing operations and investments. The company's primary goal is to assist Stupp Bros., Inc. companies in providing their customers with high-quality products and services. Since an important part of Stupp Bros., Inc. mission is also growth, the holding company serves as the focal point for mergers and acquisitions.

Stupp Bridge Company
South St. Louis Iron Works was established by John Stupp in 1856. Utilizing skills acquired as an apprentice in Europe, Stupp began manufacturing steel and ornamental iron products, fences, gates and building fronts as well as industrial lathes, boilers and engines. The steady growth of the city of St. Louis as a commercial center provided a ready market for Stupp's products and services. St. Louis and Stupp grew strong together.
Stupp faced its first national defense challenge during the Civil War in the 1860s when Captain James Eads called on the young company for armor plate for Union gunboats operating on the Mississippi River. The challenge was successfully met and history was made in naval warfare.
During the 1880s, when the federal government began to fund the building of highways and bridges, structural steel gained widespread acceptance in the construction of America's infrastructure. John Stupp's sons, George, Peter and Julius, joined the family business in this era, and the Stupp organization began to design, fabricate and construct bridges and played a vital role in linking the coast-to-coast railroad system across America. The United States and Stupp grew strong together.
The 20th Century is marked by continuous change and innovation in structural steel applications. Stupp continues as a leader in meeting the demands of commerce, industry and public works. In every instance, whatever the need, regardless of the size or scope of the project, Stupp continues to be guided by John Stupp's founding principles -- craftsmanship, quality, service and integrity.

Midwest BankCentre
Founded in 1906 as Lemay Bank & Trust Company, our name was changed to Midwest BankCentre in January 2000. We have grown to become one of the most prominent community banks in the St. Louis region. Starting with an asset base of just $43,934 in 1906, the Bank now has assets in excess of $500 million.
The original location of the bank, then known as The Lemay Ferry Bank, was in the Tretter Building at 233 Lemay Ferry Road. In 1908, the Bank moved to 113 Lemay Ferry Road and was located at that address until its consolidation with Lafayette National Bank & Trust Company in 1939. Lafayette National Bank & Trust Company was formed in 1930 and located at 152 Lemay Ferry Road. Young Erwin P. Stupp, Jr. laid the cornerstone of the Bank at this location. The consolidation of the two banks at that address was the beginning of a period of remarkable growth and expansion.
In 1973, sandbags held back the flood stage waters of the River Des Peres at the Bank's back door. But in 1993, not even sandbags could hold back the largest flood of the century. The Bank suffered serious damage and determined that it would move away from the river.
In 1996, the Bank moved to its new headquarters at 2191 Lemay Ferry Road. Today, it also has locations at 5575 Telegraph Road, in St. Louis County, 1950 Richardson Road in Jefferson County, 1007 Bowles Avenue in Fenton, Missouri, 1001 Phoenix Parkway in O'Fallon, Missouri, and at 8020 Forsyth in Clayton, Missouri.

Hammert's Iron Works, Inc.
Hammert's Iron Works, Inc. was founded in 1934 as an ornamental iron and light structural steel shop. Originally, Hammert's was a small shop manufacturing steel beams and columns for residences. But during the 1970s Hammert's began a rapid expansion that included a continuous upgrade of their facilities and equipment.
Hammert's current facility in St. Louis includes a 240,000 square foot plant, 13.5 acres of outside storage area, a rail spur and state-of-the-art computer equipment. As a result of these improvements, Hammert's sales have continued to grow. For instance during the 1980s, Hammert's helped in the revitalization of St. Louis by fabricating the steel for many new office buildings across the metropolitan area.
Today, Hammert's fabricates steel for the construction of commercial and public buildings throughout the United States. Stupp Bros., Inc. acquired an interest in Hammert's in 1993 and have supported the company in becoming nationally recognized as one of the most modern computerized structural steel fabricators in the country.
